Jedd Fisch was appointed as the head coach for the Washington Huskies in December 2023. He earned his first job as a head coach at Arizona Wildcats in 2021. Fisch is a native of Livingston, New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1998 with a degree in criminology and earned a Master's degree in Sports Management in 2000. Although he never played American football at the high school or college levels, he took coaching as a profession when he was a graduate assistant at Florida in 1999. He came to Florida to learn under the tutelage of Gators’ head coach Steve Spurrier.
Jedd Fisch had a remarkable coaching career, especially at the University of Arizona. Fisch guided the Wildcats to a 10-3 record season in 2023, his team won against Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl and also finished No. 11 in the AP Top 25 poll. Fisch’s team was balanced, on the offense, he orchestrated 448 yards per game, scoring between 36.1-21.1 points over the season. He helped Arizona’s quarterback Noah Fifita receive the Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year and was one of 12 players selected for the All-Pac-12 selection. The defense also contributed with 34 sacks which was the best figure in the conference that season. Fisch was a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award and the Dodd Trophy. Fisch coached several NFL and college teams, including the New England Patriots, LA Rams, Michigan, UCLA, Jacksonville Jaguars, and many more.
