Jeff Sims is a college quarterback who is playing his final year of college football with the Arizona State Sun Devils. Sims started his high school football career at Sandalwood High School where he was regarded as one of the top quarterback prospects in the country. During his prep career, Jeff Sims was ranked a four-star prospect and participated in the Elite 11, one of the prestigious annual quarterback competitions. He concluded his prep career with 5,000 passing yards, 1,200 rushing yards and 55 total touchdowns. He was ranked the No.88 quarterback in the class of 2020 and was rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports. He decided to join Georgia Tech despite receiving offers from Florida State, Colorado State, Louisville, LSU, Alabama, Penn State, Tennessee, Nebraska, and North Carolina among others.
During his freshman campaign with the Yellow Jackets, Sims started in 10 games and recorded 1,881 passing yards and 13 touchdowns. His game time was significantly reduced in the next two years and he announced his decision to transfer to Nebraska in 2023. As a junior, Sims appeared in only five games for the Cornhuskers and entered the transfer portal for the second time at the end of the campaign. Sims decided to join Arizona State for his final year of eligibility in 2024.
