Buckeyes cornerback Jordan Hancock has been part of Ohio State’s defensive line for the last three seasons and has returned for his fourth and final season of college. Hancock started playing high school football career at North Gwinnett High School where he led his school to three regional titles and a state championship during his career. Hancock decided not to play during the COVID-19 season due to his parents’ underlying health conditions. Hancock was rated as one of the nation’s top cornerbacks in the 2020 recruiting class and was the No.4 cornerback in the country according to 247Sports. He enrolled at Ohio State to start his collegiate football journey over offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Louisville, LSU, Ole Miss, and Minnesota among several other Division 1 programs.

The four-star cornerback from Suwanee played in only seven games in his rookie campaign and registered four tackles and one pass breakup during the year. He missed the first six games of his sophomore year with a hamstring injury saw action in five games and was credited with five tackles. Hancock exploded onto the scene in 2023 when he registered 41 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two sacks and led the team with two interceptions and two forced fumbles. In his three years with the Buckeyes, Hancock saw action in 19 games while adding 48 tackles with two interceptions and two sacks. In 2024, Hancock announced his intention to forego the 2024 NFL Draft and return to Ohio State for his final season of college football.
