Julian Fleming is a college football wide receiver for the Penn State Nittany Lions. He joined Penn State in 2024 after transferring from the Ohio State Buckeyes. Fleming's high school career at Southern Columbia Area High School was remarkable as he set the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) records with 4,442 receiving yards and 62 receiving touchdowns. His performance earned him the title of Pennsylvania Player of the Year by both PennLive and Gatorade in 2019. He was also a finalist for the Gatorade National Player of the Year award that same year. His high school achievements include being named the top overall player by ESPN and the second overall player by 247Sports in 2018. In addition to football, Fleming participated in track and field, winning the Class AA 100-meter dash at the PIAA Track and Field Championships.

In 2019, Julian Fleming committed to Ohio State University and joined the Ohio State Buckeyes, he was rated as a five-star recruit and was considered the best wide receiver in the 2020 recruiting class. His breakthrough came during the 2022 season when he recorded 34 receptions for 533 yards and six touchdowns. He continued to build on this momentum in the 2023 season, finishing with 26 receptions for 270 yards. His performance included a long reception of 37 yards and an average of 10.38 yards per catch, ranking him among the top receivers on the team. On December 4, 2023, Fleming announced his decision to enter the transfer portal, ultimately choosing to join Penn State. Fleming earned his degree in human development and family studies from Ohio State University in December 2023.
