Kaden Feagin is one of the highly-rated running backs in college football who is in his second year with the Illinois Fighting Illini. Feagin started playing high school football at Arthur High School where he was awarded the Illinois 2023 Gatorade Player of the Year. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound running back holds the school record in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in a single season. Feagin showcased his versatility by playing as a running back, quarterback, and defensive back during his prep career. He was the highest-ranked running back in the 2023 recruiting class and was rated a four-star recruit by ESPN. In his final year of high school, Feagin recorded 2,300 total yards, 82 tackles, and two interceptions.

Coming out of Atwood as the No. 17 recruit in the nation, Feagin started his collegiate football journey at home with Illinois over offers from Duke, Iowa, Indiana, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Notre Dame, Purdue, and Wisconsin among others. In his freshman season with the Fighting Illini, Feagin appeared in nine games with four starts and made 95 attempts with 438 rushing yards and two touchdowns. His impressive debut campaign was marred by a shoulder injury against Indiana that ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign. Feagin took the starting job last season and will lead the Illini rushing attack going into the 2024 season.
