In his sophomore year, he made thirteen appearances including seven starts, and ran for 902 yards on 172 carries with 6 touchdowns. He earned a second-team All-Big Ten honors from the coaches and a third-team honors from the media. This season, Allen rushed for 822 yards on 173 carries with five touchdowns.

He continued his strong performance in his junior season, rushing for 515 yards and nine touchdowns in just seven games. As a senior, Allen capped off his high school career with an outstanding season, rushing for over 1,400 yards and scoring 27 touchdowns. For his graduation, he had offers from Alabama, Maryland, Tennessee, USC, Georgia, Ohio State, Florida, Texas, and Miami, and he eventually decided to go to Penn State University after being rated a four-star recruit by the major sites.
