Kirby Smart is a college football coach, appointed by the Georgia Bulldogs in December 2015. Smart won the George Munger Award in 2017 and the SEC Coach of the Year in 2017, 2021, and 2022. Kirby Smart led the Bulldogs for the first time as the head coach in 2016. He finished the season with an 8-5 record and earned their 20th consecutive bowl appearance. That season was marked by winning the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against TCU. After a successful 2016 season, Smart finished the 2017 regular season with an 11-1 record. He also guided the Bulldogs to the SEC Championship and the CFP National Championship Game. Smart also appeared in the Rose Bowl against Oklahoma. In 2017, he helped linebacker Roquan Smith win the Dick Butkus Award. In 2018, Smart again finished the season with an 11-1 regular season record and also won the second straight SEC Eastern Division Championship.
