Kirby Paul Smart is in his ninth-year as the Georgia Bulldogs' head coach, representing the University of Georgia in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), as of the 2024-2025 season. A former football player himself, he developed his skills at Bainbridge High School. Following that, he spent his college football career with the Georgia Bulldogs from 1995 to 1998. During his collegiate career, Kirby Smart received First-Team All-SEC honors during his senior year. Additionally, he also led the SEC in interceptions as a senior.

Following Kirby Smart's college football career, he had a short stint with the NFL team the Indianapolis Colts. After his retirement, Kirby Smart started his football coaching career starting with his alma mater in 1999. Over the years, he coached various teams, which included the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. He eventually returned to his alma mater when he took over as the new head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs in 2016. Since then, he has guided his team to two CFP national championships and three SEC titles, as of December 2024.
