ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum on Monday suggested that Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders could replace Lincoln Riley with the USC Trojans. Fans had wild reactions to his comments.
One fan said that Finebaum's prediction was not a good one:

“L take.”
One more expressed his disappointment in Finebaum’s opinion:
“WTF??????? He was 4-8 with Colorado last year 👀👀👀👀👀At the moment he’s just ALLL HYPE! He needs to win FIRST in Colorado 👀👀👀 Only this he’s proven is that he can’t coach in the big leagues 🙄🙄🙄.”
Another fan said that Sanders doesn’t qualify to be USC's coach:
“Deion literally coaches a mid team, what qualifies him to coach USC besides his NFL career?”
One said that Finebaum’s take is funny.
“Paul finebaum wanting deion Sanders to coach USC is hilarious! Deion Sanders is no more than a DEI hire! Colorado was better before he got there and made it a professional victim show.”
Another apparently agrees:
“This is Hilarious 😆.”
One wrote that Sanders isn't interested in that move:
“Paul chill...Deion wants no part of USC.”
Another fan talked about Colorado’s record:
“Let him at least have a winning record with Colorado.”
One fan asked Finebaum not to talk about Colorado:
“Can fiFinebaumtop talking about Colorado 🙏🏼”
One reminded Finebaum about his previous comments about Sanders:
“One minute he craps on coach prime and what he's building in Colorado and the next minute he's saying this.”
Another mentioned Sanders' record in Colorado:
“Deion can win in Colorado. He talking about LA. Stop it.”
Paul Finebaum on Lincoln Riley
Paul Finebaum voiced his opinion during an appearance on "First Take," where he discussed the underperformance of the USC Trojans in the past season. Finebaum acknowledged Lincoln Riley's coaching credentials but also said that Sanders' charisma and personality align better with the USC brand and the Los Angeles market.
"I believe the answer (at USC) after this season is Deion Sanders," Finebaum said. "He's going to be tired of Colorado, because, quite frankly, it's not prime time.
"You put Prime in Tinsel Town, and I think you have one of the great combinations in history. We just got through talking about LeBron (James). LeBron has owned that town – as many others before him did.
“I think Deion Sanders as the coach at Southern Cal is the answer to the problem. Lincoln Riley is a good coach. He's got a great résumé. Deion Sanders just exudes exactly what that community is all about."
If this scenario were to materialize, it would undoubtedly be one of the most significant coaching changes in recent college football history.
