He is the epitome of modern-age coaching, focusing more on the offensive unit which drastically improves the performances of teams. He guided the Rebels to consecutive regular seasons with 10 victories, which is a school record, positioning the team among the top rankings in the nation. His entire coaching career has been marked by outstanding talent, including several notable awards such as being a finalist for the Frank Broyles Award in 2014. He was also a finalist for the Manning Award and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.

Lane Kiffin Coaching History

Lane Kiffin's coaching experience extends from college football to the NFL. Lane started as a student assistant at Fresno State, transitioning to be a graduate assistant at Colorado State and later as a defensive quality control assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was appointed by the University of Southern California (USC) in 2001 and spent six years there in several capacities, where he was also the offensive coordinator. He transferred to the NFL from USC and was the Head Coach for the Oakland Raiders during 2007-08, thus becoming the youngest head coach in modern NFL history.

Kiffin began his collegiate head coaching career with Tennessee in 2009 where he led the Volunteers to a remarkable season. He was also the offensive coordinator and the quarterbacks coach for Alabama in 2014. Kiffin moved on to become a head coach for USC, then at Florida Atlantic University, and eventually at Ole Miss in 2020. He took FAU to two consecutive conference championships and had several seasons of 10 wins.

Lane Kiffin is the head football coach for the Ole Miss Rebels, representing the University of Mississippi. He arrived in 2020 and led the Rebels into multiple successful seasons with his new offensive approach. His team won four consecutive bowl games under his guidance.
