LaNorris Sellers Transfer Portal: 3 potential landing spots for South Carolina QB

After leading the South Carolina Gamecocks to their best record since 2017, LaNorris Sellers has been the subject of rife speculation. The redshirt freshman burst onto the scene this season and is expected to enter the transfer portal, where he would garner attention from numerous teams in the Power Four.

In the regular season, Sellers completed 64.9% of his passes for 2,274 yards and 17 touchdowns with seven interceptions. On the ground, he racked up 655 yards on 155 carries, adding seven touchdowns.

Sellers has not entered his name into the transfer portal yet and could ultimately stay at South Carolina, but in the new era of college football, anything is possible. If Sellers were to transfer, here are three teams that could be in the running to land the South Carolina quarterback.

Sellers' dual-threat ability could prove more efficient in Kalen DeBoer's offense if Alabama extends an offer.

Flipping LaNorris Sellers from an upward-trending South Carolina team will prove to be a tough task for any SEC rival, but Alabama could be aggressive this offseason.

Mike Norvell and Florida State are making it known that a major turnaround is in the works. Norvell hired former UCF coach Gus Malzahn to be the Seminoles' offensive coordinator and brought in Nebraska defensive coordinator Tony White.

Florida State is a known buyer in the transfer portal and could put together an enticing offer for a life-changing quarterback in Tallahassee.

Pairing Sellers with Malzahn could turn Florida State into an Atlantic Coast Conference contender.
