The "College GameDay" crew went to Beaver Stadium to see the Week 10 Big Ten Conference matchup between the fourth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes and the third-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions.
One of the traditions of the "College GameDay" show is host Lee Corso making his headgear pick and today was no different.
While the show was going off the air, Corso went with his heart and decided to don the Brutus mascot head as he is predicting the Ohio State Buckeyes to win this matchup.
That would certainly alter the top of the Big Ten Conference standings as the Nittany Lions are one of three undefeated programs in the conference entering the week.
If Lee Corso is correct with his pick, it would also create a potential opening for the Buckeyes to make the Big Ten Conference Championship Game this year.
How has Lee Corso done with his headgear picks this season?
Cole's GameDay Blog does an excellent job of tracking Lee Corso's headgear selections over the years. Corso has been handing out winners this season as he has a 6-1 record entering Week 10. He missed the Weeks 6 and 7 due to not traveling to the "College GameDay" set.
The only time he lost was when he chose the Texas Longhorns over the Georgia Bulldogs. This is the first time that he had to choose in a game featuring either one of these teams.
Will Lee Corso get his headgear pick correct this week?
Both Ryan Day and James Franklin have had issues facing off against top-five programs throughout their respective tenures. However, the Ohio State Buckeyes have the better roster and quarterback with Will Howard leading the way.
The Penn State Nittany Lions have had an easier schedule and struggled to defeat the USC Trojans a few weeks ago. The Buckeyes have looked like one of the most dominant teams in college football throughout the season. But they looked beatable in each of their.
Ohio State should win the game and Lee Corso should continue his hot start to the college football season.
