Lincoln Riley is the head coach for the USC Trojans football team. Riley began his coaching career as a student assistant at Texas Tech, where he spent seven years from 2003-2009, and was later promoted to wide receivers coach. At East Carolina, Riley served as an offensive coordinator from 2010 to 2014, setting school records for pass completions and touchdowns. In 2015, Riley became the offensive coordinator and the quarterbacks coach for the Oklahoma Sooners. His success in these roles gave him an opportunity to be the head coach for Oklahoma in 2017 following Bob Stoops' retirement. At Oklahoma, Riley led the Sooners to four Big 12 championships, three College Football Playoff appearances, and coached two Heisman Trophy winners. Riley committed to USC in 2021, where his innovative offensive strategies have continued to thrive.

Lincoln Riley is from Lubbock, Texas. He began his football career at Muleshoe High School and played college football at Texas Tech University in 2002. Riley also played as a quarterback for Stephen F. Austin. At Texas Tech University, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Riley is married to Caitlin and has two daughters named Sloan and Stella. Riley comes from a football-oriented family, he is the elder brother of Garrett Riley, who serves as Clemson's offensive coordinator. Garrett was also a member of TCU's coaching staff that led the Horned Frogs to the National Championship game in 2022. Riley’s 2022 team broke six USC records. The most notable records are, collecting the most passing yards in a single season with 4,696 yards in 14 games, the most passes attempted in a single season with 515, and the most touchdown passes in a single season with 43.
