His junior season was wiped out by an injury as he was limited to ten catches for 131 yards before season-ending ankle surgery. Despite his injury, Lachey grew into an impressive tight end over the seasons. Most recently in the 2024 preseason, he earned second-team All-Big Ten honors by Athlon along with a spot on the Comeback Player of the Year Award Watch List. Luke Lachey’s game shows his potential and can contribute significantly to the Hawkeyes. He has committed to the Hawkeyes for his senior season as a primary player to observe.
