The Colorado Buffaloes' team is going to look completely different the next time they take the field as there are a lot of players who will either graduate or enter the NFL draft class. That is something that coach Deion Sanders understands and let it be known as he showed some respect to his upperclassmen.
On his official TikTok channel, Deion Sanders Jr. posted a speech that coach Deion Sanders delivered to the Colorado Buffaloes seniors ahead of the Alamo Bowl game against the BYU Cougars.
"Let's not take nothing for granted, let's go out there and dominate. Some of you seniors, all of you seniors, I'm going to miss what you brought this school, this university... You youngsters, make sure you understand who these young men and what they contributed to this program because they set the standard... This will be the last time that all of us in here will ever be together."
Sanders Jr. captioned the video:
"Makes me want to drop a tear"
It will be interesting to see how the seniors, and the Colorado Buffaloes as a whole, are able to play with all the emotions surrounding the program in this Alamo Bowl game against the BYU Cougars.
Will Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter play in the Alamo Bowl?
While there are a lot of players who tend to opt out of their respective bowl games in preparation of the NFL draft if the team is not competing for the national championship, both quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter will be playing in this game.
While if they are only going to play a certain amount of time, similar to what Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward did in the Pop-Tart Bowl earlier today where he did not play in the second half, they will at least be playing to begin the game against the BYU Cougars here.
However, it became known during the lead-up to this game that both players have some of the most expensive insurance policies on them ahead of this game, which indicates they may be playing the entire game.
