The Miami RedHawks represent Miami University who are renowned for producing some of the high-profile coaches in college football. The Miami RedHawks have never won a national championship in its 136-year storied history but are celebrated as the most successful program in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The team currently holds an overall record of 732–488–44 and has 23 conference titles to their name.

The RedHawks are playing their 11th season under Chuck Martin who has led the program to two MAC championships in 2019 and 2023. The home games are played at the Yager Stadium in Oxford, Ohio.

The 1888 season was the first season of the Miami RedHawks. Formerly known as the Miami Redskins, it was the first team that participated in collegiate football and played its first game against Cincinnati which ended in a scoreless tie. The team did not have any official coach in that season.
