The Michigan vs. Washington matchup in Week 6 will gather a lot of eyeballs, but it will be impacted by the injury report on both sides. The Huskies (3-2) will host the No. 10-ranked Wolverines (4-1) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Michigan has shown resilience the last two weeks, winning two close games, including a 27-24 victory over Minnesota last week. The previous week, the Wolverines narrowly beat No. 11 USC 27-24. Washington has struggled to find consistency this season and is coming off its second loss in three weeks, a 21-18 defeat against Rutgers.
Michigan injury report Week 6
Michigan was without several players when it defeated Minnesota 27-24 last Saturday. Many players warmed up but did not take the field. This week, several players are questionable again against Washington.
Will Johnson
Star cornerback Will Johnson left Michigan's Week 4 win over USC with an injury early in the fourth quarter. He suited up for warmups against Minnesota but did not play. He is questionable for this week, but coach Sherrone Moore is optimistic about his status.
Josaiah Stewart
Defensive end Josaiah Stewart was also injured in the game against USC, although the injury was not disclosed. He also warmed up last week but did not play. The coaching staff is optimistic about his return against the Huskies.
Myles Hinton
Left tackle Myles Hinton left last week's game against the Gophers and was replaced by Jeff Persi. The coaching staff are optimistic about his status for Saturday's showdown.
Washington injury report Week 6
Washington has not been able to escape injuries this year, suffering another one last week against Rutgers.
Jayvon Parker
Defensive tackle Jayvon Parker was injured last week against Rutgers. Although the play he was hurt in looked innocuous, it was later revealed he tore his Achilles tendon and is out for the season. Jayvon joins his twin brother Armon Parker, a defensive tackle, on a list of Huskies' players who will miss the entire season.
Quentin Moore
Starting tight end Quentin Moore suffered a knee injury in the season opener against Weber State. At the time it was expected to be a short-term setback, but Moore has not returned yet and is ruled out this week against Michigan.
Darren Barkins
Cornerback Darren Barkins is listed as out on the injury report with an undisclosed injury. He has not played any games yet this season for Washington.
