Mississippi State is coming off an open week following a 35-13 loss to No. 1 Texas. The squad is on a four-game losing streak after winning only its first game of the season, 56-7 over Eastern Kentucky.

Georgia bounced back with a 31-13 win over Auburn last Saturday after dropping its first win of the season to Alabama 41-34. The team will look to pick up an easy win this week before facing Texas next week.

Playing in the always competitive Southeastern Conference, Georgia needs to amass wins against in-conference opponents to make the playoffs.

Georgia has shown strength on both offense and defense this season. In four of their five games, the Georgia Bulldogs scored at least 31 points. The only exception was a narrow 13-12 victory against Kentucky in Week 3. Outside of that game, the team's offense has been incredibly consistent.
