Nate Johnson is an American football player for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Nate started playing college football with the Utah Utes in 2022. On December 4, 2023, Nate announced his name in the portal, and on December 17, he announced the transfer to Vanderbilt. Nate currently plays as the quarterback for the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Nate also earned CIF Central Section Athlete of the Year for his football and track accomplishments in 2020-21. After his performance as a backup quarterback in his sophomore season, he was invited to the Elite 11 finals.
