Nevada quarterback Brendon Lewis will attempt to score the Wolf Pack their first conference win this season. Nevada has an overall record of 3-6 and an 0-3 Mountain West mark. Lewis started for the Wolf Pack in 10 of their 12 games last season. Coach Jeff Choate commended Lewis at the start of the season for a great training camp:
"There is no doubt that he was the hardest-working member of our football team this fall camp. That guy was in the team room in between practices, in between walkthroughs every single day. And he did it intentionally. He didn't go back in a corner room where nobody could see him working."
Lewis in turn spoke of how his experience during the 2023 season helped him prepare for the current season:
"Just controlling things I control, which is being prepared and having better preparation before the game, before practice, before anything. That's the biggest thing. I think this summer has been really productive. It's probably one of the better summers I've been a part of as well."
