Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter has reinserted himself into the Heisman Trophy conversation after a stellar Week 9 performance against the Cincinnati Bearcats on Oct. 26. Hunter also helped lead the Buffs to bowl eligibility for the first time in eight years with the 34-23 win over the Bearcats.

During Colorado's bye week before the Week 11 clash against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Hunter traveled to Texas for a favorite pastime he shares with Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders.

The $45 million worth Coach Prime (per Celebrity Net Worth) posted a clip on Instagram featuring himself and Travis Hunter fishing, complete with a hilarious exchange between the two.

"Fish off right here. You can tell when folks quiet, how it's going," Deion Sanders said.
"Zero - zero to me," Travis Hunter replied.

Deion Sanders explained why he fishes with Travis Hunter

Travis Hunter and Deion Sanders have shared a close relationship ever since Coach Prime was the head coach at Jackson State, where he convinced the five-star prospect to de-commit from Florida State and join him in 2021.

During a news conference earlier in the season, Sanders spoke about the close bond that he shares with the two-way, Heisman-contending Hunter and the reasons behind it.

“We talk about everything,” Sanders said. "He’s (Hunter) a good human being, he’s not smoking, not drinking, not outside whoring, not doing crazy things. He’s got one of the highest GPAs on the team, he’s a great human being, and he can play, his character is second to none."

Sanders and Hunter have become fishing buddies, with the Buffs star regularly visiting his coach's property in Texas, which has a lake where they fish together. Sanders further expounded on that aspect of their relationship.

"That’s why I don’t mind fishing with him (Hunter)," Sanders said. "And he coming to Texas. And we’re not talking about fishing on the boat, although we talk junk to each other all the time, but we’re talking about life. We’re talking about the next move. We talk about land acquisition. We’re talking about so many different things of life, fathering, you know, loving, how the family plays a role in all of this.
"So it’s just a delight to have caught him coming straight out of high school.”

Deion Sanders has continued to champion Travis Hunter as the best player in college football, as the electric two-way star has risen in the Heisman Trophy rankings showing the strength of their relationship.
