Flau'Jae Johnson is enjoying the 2024 Cannes Lions Festival with her family in France. On the evening of Father's Day, Johnson posted a series of stories on Instagram with her mom and step-dad Ameen Brooks.

One story that stood out featured the family enjoying their meal - a $400 steak in a beachside setting at the French Riviera. She captioned her post with these words:

"We had a Father's Day dinner on a beach, in another continent."

Johnson will also be performing at the Cannes Lions Festival as a rapper. The multi-talented athlete has been under contract with Roc Nation since 2022. The entertainment label is owned by American rapper Jay-Z.

The LSU athlete's biological father - Jason Johnson (stage name: Camouflage) was a rapper too. He lost his life in a roadside shooting in Savannah back in 2003.

Stepdad Ameen Brooks gets Father's Day tribute from Flau'Jae Johnson

The LSU guard celebrated Father's Day with a heartfelt tribute to her stepdad, Ameen Brooks. Valued at $1.2 million NIL (per On3), Johnson shared photos featuring her family, especially Brooks, on Instagram. In her post, Johnson expressed deep gratitude, writing:

"I never got a chance to meet my dad. But I do know what it feels like to have a father. You came into my life and showed me what a real man should be, and I appreciate you for everything, especially taking care of my mama. Thank you for being my best friend🫶 .. Stand Up Guy #HappyFathersDay."

Johnson's biological father, Jason Johnson, was tragically killed in a gunfire incident five months before her birth. Ameen Brooks, who married Johnson's mom, Kia Brooks, said in an interview with On3:

"I don’t even call it stepdaddy because I feel like as a position of a dad and I married her mom, it’s like filling the gap.”

Johnson’s stepdad also played a crucial role in managing her burgeoning music career and the extensive travel it entails.
