LSU Tigers QB Garrett Nussmeier had a rough game as he and his team were thumped 42-13 by the Alabama Crimson Tide at home in Week 11. After taking an early lead in this Death Valley showdown, Kalen DeBoer's team did not take their foot off the pedal and continued their offensive dominance on the field.
Nussmeier had a difficult time keeping up with Alabama QB Jalen Milroe's dual-threat abilities. The LSU QB failed to build offensive cohesion with his teammates, leading to many lost opportunities to make a comeback.
Garrett Nussmeier finished the night by completing 27-of-the-42 passes he attempted. He also recorded 239 passing yards and one TD along with two interceptions to his name.

Nussmeier has a lot to improve on if he wants to play professional football in the future.
The LSU quarterback joined the program as a part of the 2021 recruiting class. He redshirted his freshman campaign while appearing in four games. Nussmeier then spent the past two seasons as the backup to former Heisman winner Jayden Daniels.
When Daniels was drafted this year, Nussmeier was named as the team's starting quarterback. So far in nine games, he has recorded a total of 2,866 passing yards and 21 TD passes while throwing 11 interceptions on the field.
Alabama co-defensive coordinator revealed gameplan against QB Garrett Nussmeier
Before this week 11 showdown, Alabama co-defensive coordinator Kane Wommack talked about a flaw that Garrett Nussmeier had. He also talked about how it was all about capitalizing on that flaw and using it for their advantage.
"I think he's an aggressive player right?," Wommack said per A to Z Sports. "Sometimes you live by the sword and die by the sword a little bit. We're a team that is certainly going to be focused on taking the ball off of people. We've got to be able to show enough looks and pictures and change some things up. Put eyes on the quarterback....Do all the different things to be able to create some confusion for really good quarterback."
It played out just as Kane Wommack said. Garrett Nussmeier gave away two important interceptions resulting in the Crimson Tide's victory in week 11. It will be interesting to see if they can go on to be a hopeful natty champ this season.
