Travis Hunter has had a very strong 2024 season for the Colorado Buffaloes. The dual-position player, who has a NIL deal valued at $4.5 million (according to On3.com) has been a key part in the Buffaloes' success this season and is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.
With the Buffaloes out of playoff contention, Hunter is set to sit out Colorado's bowl game and focus his attention on preparing for the 2025 NFL draft.
He was compared to wide receiver Amon-Ra St Brown and cornerback Pat Surtain II using Hunter's PFF grades at each position. This caught Hunter's eye, who posted it on his Instagram account with a message to his coach Deion Sanders attached to it.

The infographic rates Hunter as high as St Brown and higher than Surtain. This could be another piece in the puzzle to answer what is likely to be a highly anticipated question in the coming months.
What role will Hunter, who has been able to prove himself to be skilled in two positions, play?
The graphic tells us Hunter is excellent in both roles. This could make things a little bit harder in terms of finding a position for Hunter, and the final decision may come down to the individual needs of the team drafting him.
Who picks Travis Hunter in the recent mock draft?
In a recent mock draft by CBS Sports posted Wednesday, Travis Hunter is the overall No. 1 pick and will head to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
If this happens, it will be seen as a good move from the Jaguars. They do not need a quarterback as they are still committed to Trevor Lawrence , so providing the former Clemson Tigers star with some weapons is the prime objective.
Jacksonville's defense is not great either, conceding 28 points per game. Putting Hunter on the defense will also provide benefits for this struggling unit.
While Hunter may have to choose which position to play, the Jaguars may allow him to do what he did at Colorado and play both offense and defense.
