Colorado coach Deion Sanders and his sons Shilo and Shedeur Sanders arrived in Las Vegas for Day 3 of the Big 12 Media Days in style on a private jet while carrying custom Louis Vuitton luggage.
In pictures taken at Allegiant Stadium, where the event is being held, the $4.9 million NIL-valued quarterback (as per On3) shone in his diamond-studded necklace containing the word "legendary."
The marketability of Shedeur Sanders has never been more stark than the revelation on Monday that his iconic “Salute or Show the Ice (Colorado Only)” watch celebration will be featured in the soon-to-be-released EA Sports College Football 25 custom celebrations.
Only Colorado has a custom celebration in the much-anticipated game, which shows the real Shedeur effect. He sits at No. 1 in college sports on the NIL 100 rankings.
Shedeur Sanders called out for slacking off
During the Fourth of July celebrations, Shedeur Sanders headed to Miami to celebrate and decided to hold a workout with Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward orchestrated by shared quarterback coach Darrell Colbert.
In a clip posted on the "Well Off Media" YouTube channel, Ward criticizes the effort put in by Sanders during the workout, which has led to some backlash from both fans and analysts alike for his jet-setting lifestyle that might be seeping into his performances.
During an appearance on "Big Smitty Monday," former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Shaun King was critical of Sanders' work ethic based on the interaction with Cam Ward.
"Obviously, Shedeur Sanders isn't really putting that work in," King said. "It's one of the things that I've always wondered. So much of his offseason work is off the campus of Colorado. It's always 'We in Miami, we're going on the yacht tonight.' So, like, 'We on the beach, we're going to film a little clip of us doing something.' Like, 'We in Atlanta we're going here we got a concert tonight, so we are at a local party.'
"All of this said... Hey, he might be getting it in, and I've never judged him, but in the back of my mind I know what that grind looks like. And for Cam to call him out, it's almost like Cam telling him like, 'Hey man, look that was BS today. I've seen you work hard.'"
Colorado Buffaloes fans will hope that the incident involving Shedeur Sanders is simply a flash in the pan and that he has not lost his mojo as the start of the season draws closer.
