Coach Deion Sanders is fine-tuning his Colorado team in the offseason training camp as the 2024 college football season draws near. During a practice session on Monday, "Coach Prime" also flaunted his white and black Nike Air DT Max 96 shoes.
Sanders, who has a net worth of $45 million per CelebrityNetWorth, posted a video of himself wearing the shoes and said:
"I'm letting you know. Before even mentioning they go on sale, they're going to be sold out."
Sanders has a long history with Nike, with the two reportedly beginning their collaboration in 1992. At the time, Sanders was one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL. However, in 2017, Sanders announced his split with the sports apparel brand and even said that he would never work with Nike again.
Nonetheless, in July last year, Sanders reunited with the brand. He confirmed the reunion on Instagram after ending his partnership with Under Armour.
Notably, the Nike Air DT Max 96 shoes have become quite a talking point, with Sanders often endorsing the cleats. Even EA Sports' College Football 25, which was released on July 19, used a digital version of the shoes in the video game.
Deion Sanders' Colorado will aim to kick off new Big 12 era with a winning season
Deion Sanders will enter his second season with Colorado in 2024. However, it will be his first in charge of the Buffaloes after making the move to the Big 12.
Colorado announced its decision to join the Big 12 this year after leaving the Pac-12.
In his first season in Boulder, Sanders led CU to a 4-8 record. The Buffaloes raced to a 3-0 start but failed to keep up the momentum for the remainder of the season.
Since Sanders now has a better understanding of his team, he will want to make the most of the offseason training camp. His main aim will be to lead Colorado to a winning season in 2024.
