Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders is gearing up for a high-pressure season with his team in the Big 12 after their move from the Pac-12 during the conference realignment.

It didn't take the charismatic coach long to attract controversy after he refused to answer questions from two reporters (CBS's Eric Christensen and Denver Post's Sean Keeler) during last week's news conference.

During Friday's news conference, the $45 million worth Deion Sanders (as per Celebrity Net Worth) reversed course and revealed that he was ready for a sit down with Eric Christensen after all.

"Is the guy here from CBS? Who's here from CBS? God bless you, tell him, tell him, he know, he know but I want everybody to know that we're good. We was good then but it seemed like we wasn't good. We're good, I love him and I appreciate him," Sanders said.
"Tell him I'll do it. Sit down one-on-one with him. We're good, we're good now. Yeah, we've been good but we're really good now."

Deion Sanders' beef with CBS explained

Initially, it was speculated that coach Prime reacted to the CBS reporter that way because of an unflattering article that was released a few weeks ago which ranked him as the second-worst coach in the Big 12.

During an On3 podcast, analyst Phillip Dukes who has a personal relationship with the Buffaloes coach clarified the reason for Coach Prime's reaction.

"Deion Sanders ain’t upset because somebody ranked him second-to-last in the Big 12," Dukes said. "That’s something that he can control because these rankings don’t get you into the playoffs. He ain’t mad about that.
"That’s his goal. I’ll say this. There was a project between [Sanders and CBS] that one person did their part and was vulnerable enough to say ‘Hey, you know what, I’m gonna share this with you.’"

Dukes continued:

"The other faction, without notice or without saying anything, after all of this time and effort was put into something, basically said, 'Nah, this ain’t a good look for us right now.’ If you wanna know why Deion Sanders reacted the way he did, there was an abuse of trust between the two, and I’m sure that will be expanded upon later on."

What made the matter stick out more is the fact that Deion Sanders used to work on CBS' "The NFL Today Programme."
