Colorado head coach Deion Sanders during the latest episode of 'Big Noon Conversations' with Fox Sports' lead college football analyst Joel Klatt, talked about Miss Terry, wife of former Alabama coach Nick Saban.
Sanders praised her influence on Saban’s illustrious career and expressed desire for her "masterclass.”
"Terry, his wife [is amazing]," Sanders said. "Mrs. Saban needs to teach a masterclass on how to do it. With all the women that are alongside the man. She is unbelievable. Just after getting your but kicked and then you go back and look at your phone and you got a message from Mrs. Terry is unbelievable." [15:48]
The 2024 college football season is just weeks away and for the first time in two decades, Alabama will enter the field without their legendary coach, Saban. According to $45 million valued Coach Prime (per Celebrity Net Worth), Saban epitomizes great leadership and possesses the skillsets to build a great dynasty.
Deion Sanders hails Nick Saban as the gold standard in college football
Following Saban's departure, Kalen DeBoer has now taken charge of leading Alabama to yet another national championship glory this season. Reflecting on Coach Saban's legacy, Deion Sanders described him as a trailblazer and the best ever to do it.
“He's the magna cum laude, he is it,” Sanders said. “He is what we attain to just get next to, we'll never eclipse it whatsoever. [He's the best] ever. Ever, let's get that straight."
Saban's decision to retire was allegedly influenced by the evolution of the NIL era, revamped transfer regulations, and conference realignments, posing many challenges.
"I just hate it for him," Sanders said of Nick Saban's retirement. "Because I felt as though he had so much more left. But I understand when it's not in you to do it that way, and you want to do it this way. Shoot, it was like, 'Man, we lost the OG. We lost the OG.' He means so much to me personally... I hate that we lost him for college football's sake, and why. It shouldn't be that way," he added.
Over 17 years in Alabama, Nick Saban secured six national titles and amassed a remarkable 206-29 record, granting him a well-deserved retirement where he can bask in the glory of an extraordinary career that has forever transformed the game.
