Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes suffered a major defeat to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, losing 28-10 on Saturday. But the defeat was not the only thing that Sanders, who has a net value of $45 million (according to celebritynetworth.com), lost.
Shilo Sanders, a Buffaloes safety and coach Sanders' son, left in the first quarter with a possible broken forearm.
“I think a broken forearm, something like that, so he won’t be back in at all," Deion Sanders said on NBC at halftime.

After the game, Sanders wrote this on Instagram about his injured son:
"Praying for a SPEEDY recovery regarding the injury to shilosanders. Trust God, son. You may not understand now, but u will. Stay strong and never doubt God's way and timing. You've always overcome adversity, and this ain't no different. Love Ya Son!"
Shilo Sanders has been a key part of the CU defense since Deion Sanders took charge of the team in Boulder. Last season, he made 67 tackles and was one of the better players for a defense that struggled. His absence will be felt, and the defense could struggle without him.
While the extent of the injury is unknown yet, if Shilo has a broken forearm, he could be out for the rest of the season. This will not only affect Colorado's already slim chances of making the College Football Playoff, but the injury will affect his draft stock.
Deion Sanders talks about the injuries affecting the Buffaloes
Shilo Sanders was not the only member of the Sanders family to leave the game early. His younger brother, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, was shaken up after a play near the end of the game and left the field.
"Protections were a problem," Deion Sanders said. "You know, I'm trying to be polite and say it, because you know I can say the same thing you're thinking, but if I say it, you'd say I'm throwing my guys up under the bus. I'm not doing that whatsoever. Protections were a problem. We gotta figure out a way to prevent that and do a better job with that.”
Colorado (1-1) is going to need to stop its run of injuries to not only keep its players healthy but save its season.
