Deion Sanders, the $45M worth Colorado Buffaloes coach (as per Celebrity Net Worth), has revealed why Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will skip the NFL draft ceremony in April.

During Sunday's episode of "The Rich Eisen Show," Coach Prime said that Shedeur and Hunter, who are both projected as first round picks, want to celebrate with their closest supporters in Boulder.

“No, you won’t see it," Deion said. "You won’t see us. We good, man. We want to celebrate with our people, with our folks, with our wonderful student body.”

There have been other first round picks who decided to skip the draft ceremony in the past. In 2024, Minnesota Vikings' JJ McCarthy did not attend, as well as Las Vegas Raiders' Brock Bowers.

Shedeur also talked about his draft plans on his "2Legendary" podcast on Saturday.

"I think we’re doing it in Colorado," Shedeur said (20:24). "I’m not going. I don’t know too many details about it, but I know it’s gonna be in Colorado. So, that’s all I know."

The draft is scheduled for April 24-26 at Lambeau Field. Sanders and Hunter are expected to compete for the top pick along with Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

Shedeur Sanders not focused on money ahead of NFL move

Shedeur Sanders, who is valued at $6.5 million in NIL deals (as per On3), shared how he wants to stay true to himself, regardless of fame or money.

“Nah, I’m gonna be the same," Sanders said on Sunday, via Overtime. "Money can't change me, fame can't change me. We done did everything we done had at all. So it's like, there’s nothing that could really change. It’s just more about focus on football and winning games.
“That's really what it is for me. Whatever team I go to and whatever program represents that program in the best light. But other than that I'm gonna always be myself, I ain't gonna ever change."

Apart from honing his skills as a QB in 49 games at the collegiate level with Jackson State and Colorado, Sanders has also emerged as a leader on and off the field.
