Deion Sanders looks set on achieving the Colorado Buffaloes' first winning season since 2020, which was the shortened COVID season. The Buffs were last season winners in 2016. According to reporter Carl Reed, Coach Prime hasn't been home since the Buffs' pre-season football camp started.

"When I talked to him last night he told me that he hasn't been home since camp started, he has slept in the office everyday, and is focused on work," the 247 Sports reporter said on Friday. "No matter what is said outside the building, he knows that winning is mandatory — it is the only way to silence the critics."
"In football no matter where you play or where you coach, noise is everywhere. The chatter doesn't matter, only the results. You have to bear down on whatever is in front of you on gameday."

Sanders took over a team that in 2022 had its worst season with an overall record of 1-11. Prime completely revamped the roster of the Boulder school, including adding his sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders.

He opened last season putting the nation in awe with their victory over 2022 national championship finalist TCU. However, bowl eligibility wasn't achieved in the end with the Buffs record coming down to 4-8 in 2023.

Paul Finebaum doesn't think Deion Sanders and the Buffs will go above .500

Veteran analyst Paul Finebaum isn't a fan of Deion Sanders. He feels the team won't go above .500.

"I think they're looking at about a .500 season record which isn't all that impressive when you consider the amount of energy and hype and overhype I should say to this program, it's ... Deion Sanders is a superstar we all know that. But Colorado is nothing. They're just another school in the middle of nowhere in a third-rate league," he said on Wednesday on ESPN's "Get Up."

The Buffaloes also face the added pressure of being in a new conference, as they left the now almost defunct Pac-12 for the Big 12. Adapting to their new schedule would be challenging. Despite the team's amazing business success, Sanders should back that up with athletic success.
