Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was part of a valiant effort during the Buffs' week 7 loss to the No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats, mounting a spirited comeback that ultimately fell short to a 50-yard Avery Johnson touchdown pass to Jayce Brown. Sanders registered 388 yards, resulting in three touchdowns and one interception.
Off the gridiron, during an episode of his "2Legendary" podcast released on Wednesday, the $5.8 million NIL-valued Buffs quarterback (as per On3) revealed his postgame rituals (12:00).
"I think my post-game routine is ice bath right after the game ice bath, hot tub, cold tub, go home be with family be with loved ones be with friends, just you know recap everything, put the phone down and just enjoy like human connection and being around people," Shedeur Sanders said.
"Because going out there and playing QB is a stressful game. So, you gotta have loved ones and people that support you around you, you know because it’s a lot of mental wear and tear on you.”
After the loss against the Kansas State Wildcats, the influential Buffs quarterback was in no mood for his usual postgame rituals and sounded dejected during his news conference.
“We made a statement that we lost,” Shedeur Sanders said “That’s the statement-- that we lost… A loss is a loss. A loss is a loss. You can’t get that back.”
Shedeur Sanders tabbed to be QB1 in the 2025 NFL Draft
Shedeur Sanders is one of the most-talked-about quarterbacks in college football . He has been tabbed to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft due to his end product despite playing behind a subpar offensive line.
In a mock draft conducted by ESPN's Jordan Reid, Sanders was tabbed as the first quarterback off the board ahead of stalwarts like Quinn Ewers and Jalen Milroe.
"Sanders — currently my QB1 for the class — is a poised pocket passer whose game centers around his fantastic ball placement and good decision-making," Reid wrote. "His 72.6% completion rate ranks sixth in the nation. Sanders would be an ideal fit for Kevin Stefanski’s scheme, as he can operate from multiple platforms and has the pocket vision to immediately make an impact at the next level."
Shedeur Sanders has made waves this season registering 2,018 yards on 72.6% completion, resulting in 17 touchdowns and four interceptions. His performances have helped the Colorado Buffaloes to a 4-2 record in their first season in the Big 12.
