While many people would associate the Texas Longhorns with Bevo, the Texas Longhorns cow that is the program's live mascot, Hook 'Em is the name of the costumed character that serves as the mascot of the Longhorns.

Hook 'Em is a key staple at Longhorns games, and his iconic Cowboy hat look symbolizes the State of Texas besides making him look tough to the opposition.

The Oregon Duck (Oregon Ducks)

The Oregon Duck is one of the most iconic-looking mascots in all of college football. Based on the Disney character Donald Duck, the Oregon Duck has become a fan favorite.

However, while the Duck looks playful on the outside, he can be known for the occasional bit of violence, like in 2007, when the Duck had a fight with the Houston Cougars mascot. Additionally, after every score, the Duck performs one push-up per point. In 2024, we could be seeing many push-ups from Donald/Puddles.

Bucky Badger (Wisconsin Badgers)

Bucky Badger is one of the more athletic mascots in college football. As with the Oregon Duck, he also does a push-up for every point Wisconsin scores.

Bucky is mostly seen on game day with the lively Wisconsin Badgers fans, acting as an unofficial leader of their sections. He also performs skits with other mascots and is an iconic symbol of the state of Wisconsin.

Brutus Buckeye (Ohio State Buckeyes)

Brutus Buckeyes is a Buckeye nut, the nut mainly associated with the state of Ohio. Apart from being associated with one of college football's biggest teams, Brutus himself is one of the more recognizable mascots.

This is mostly due to his iconic, very round face. His clothing is also instantly associated with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Brutus has been around since the 1960s and has seen many successes for the Ohio State program. Will he see another in 2024?

The Stanford Tree (Stanford Cardinals)

This one is iconic for different reasons. Firstly, he is a tree, so there are already some limitations in terms of costume. But while many of the other mascots on this list look professional, the Stanford Tree has a scruffy look that divides many fans.

Many have said that this is one of the worst mascots in college football. Whatever the answer is, the Tree is one of the more entertaining things one can see at a Stanford Cardinals game.
