Fans reacted as Brock Glenn had another underwhelming performance on the Florida State offense on Saturday. The Seminoles were blown out by Notre Dame, losing 52-3, in South Bend as the season continues to get worse for the program.
The problems on the offense remain evident in Florida State’s plays on Saturday, especially at the quarterback position. Glenn took over the starting role from injured DJ Uiagalelei but has struggled to create a spark in the offense.
Following another poor outing on Saturday, fans have continued to rain criticism on the quarterback. Glenn completed 5-of-18 passes for 58 yards without a touchdown while throwing two interceptions. He was also sacked seven times in the Week 11 encounter.
Here’s a look at some of the reactions online, with one tweeting:
"7 sacks...ND is eating."
Other reactions to Brock Glenn's performance :
"Brock Glenn should not touch the field again," a fan wrote.
"Brock Glenn was a massive recruiting miss…like every other signee out of HS by Mike Norvell," another fan wrote.
"I feel bad for Brock Glenn. Receivers can’t get open, line can’t protect him, and he just gets murdered by the fan base and opposing defense," another fan wrote.
Brock Glenn leads Florida State to another disappointing loss
It's been a season to forget for Florida State, as it suffered another defeat at the hands of Notre Dame. Considering their performances this season, virtually no one expected the Seminoles to go into South Bend, but getting limited to one field goal all game is horrific.
Brock Glenn was unable to bring the kind of performance that could trigger the offense into giving Notre Dame some problems. The Fighting Irish were comfortable throughout the Week 11 contest, recording notable progress in their bid to secure a playoff spot.
“We’re all disappointed,” Norvell said. “This is not the result we expected. This is not any part of what we want our program to look like. Guys battled throughout.
“Credit to the opponent for what they were able to do. It’s a season full of results that make us sick, but we still have a choice to make as far as how we will finish — and that’s work and be better.”
It marks the second time Glenn led the Seminoles to a loss by more than 50 points. The quarterback was in charge of the offense in the Orange Bowl game last season where Florida State suffered a crushing 63-3 defeat to Georgia.
After ending the regular season undefeated in 2023, the best Florida State can achieve this season is three wins. The last time the Seminoles recorded a three-win season was in 1975, finishing 3-8. They are still on track to match their worst finish in history, going 1-10 in 1974.
