$75M worth Cam Newton poses stern questions for Deion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders ahead of the NFL switch

Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders recently made comments on the chances of making a move to the NFL.

Sanders has rejuvenated a struggling Buffaloes program. This season, they made their first bowl game since 2016 and were even in contention to make the Big 12 Conference Championship game.

It is no surprise that there would be interest in Sanders from the professional league after the success he brought to Colorado. However, Coach Prime is only willing to do this under one condition

"The only way I would consider it (a move to the NFL) is to coach my sons."

Both of Sanders' sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, played for the Buffaloes under Deion, and are likely to be picked in the 2025 NFL draft. Shedeur is potentially the No. 1 pick.

However, former No. 1 pick Cam Newton, who has a net value of $75 million according to Celebritynetworth.com, has posed some questions to Deion Sanders after his comments.

"Can (Shedeur Sanders) be coached by other people outside of his father?When you think about the real world, you've (Shedeur Sanders) have only had one coach since you were eight."

Deion Sanders has been a constant presence in the football careers of his sons. By doing this, he has been able to personally oversee their development as football players.

This has certainly paid off in a way for the family, as Shedeur is seen as one of the best quarterbacks available, and Shilo is also likely to be drafted by an NFL team.

With Deion pulling the string, there is a possibility that the Sanders had the team revolve around them. In a professional environment, this is not going to happen, and the two are going to have to adjust to other coaches' ways.

Can Deion Sanders bench his son?

However, if Deion were to coach his sons, Cam Newton has given a scenario that could materialize.

"Can Deion bench his son? Can Deion cut his son?"

If he were to underperform, there is a possibility that fans would be calling for the benching of Shedeur Sanders. There may even be a scenario that, if he can not make it, he could be cut.

These are things that an NFL coach has to think about and do. But, would Deion Sanders do this to his own son?

Currently, this is only a hypothetical scenario, and there is no indication that Shedeur may struggle. But, if he does, would he be benched, and could the coach of whatever team he joins be able to deal with the strong response from Deion Sanders?
