Big things are expected of Texas A&M defensive end Shemar Stewart this season. Stewart helped his team blow out the McNeese State Cowboys 52-10 after the disappointing 23-13 home loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish during week one of college football action.

Off the gridiron, Stewart's girlfriend Grace Uribe who plays on the Aggies' softball team posted pictures on Instagram of the couple looking cozy and a clip from a Texas A&M game.

She captioned the Instagram post:

"Thought you could get rid of me cstat?"

Who is Shemar Stewart's girlfriend Grace Uribe?

Grace Uribe attended Huntington Beach High School, in California. She started playing softball when she was seven years old. Despite being courted by programs like Missouri and Texas, she chose Texas A&M as her program.

During an in-house interview with the Aggies, Uribe revealed why she chose to join the program where she dons the No. 8 jersey.

“I love the state, the people and the traditions of Texas A&M University,” Uribe said. “Softball is really important to me and made me person I am today. It has instilled confidence in me throughout my life and now as a woman.”

Shemar Stewart's girlfriend is a Psychology major and she sings in her free time.

Shemar Stewart aims to end Aggies SEC road record

The Texas A&M Aggies have a horrible SEC (Southeastern Conference) road record and a clash against beleaguered coach Billy Napier's Florida Gators could be the antidote needed to shake it off.

A trip to Gainesville is a homecoming for Shemar Stewart who is from Florida, prompting him to make a huge declaration during the weekly news conference.

“Going back home is always special to me. Florida was not one of my top schools,” Shemar Stewart said. “We’re going to bring this one home after three years.”

The Aggies have not started the season as expected losing a week one thriller in College Station against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The run defense was one of the Aggies' strongest departments last season allowing an average of 109 rushing yards which has slipped to 185 rushing yards this season.

Stewart addressed how the defensive line of which he is a part could help to change the fortunes of Texas A&M.

"We're just trying to emphasize being more physical in the run game, trying to cut (yards given up) down a little bit," Stewart said. "It all begins up front with the defensive line.
We try to pride ourselves in not letting the ball get around on us. We always put it on our backs that we don't ever want the ball to get to the second level and let other people try and make the play when we already know that we would be able to make the play."

If the Texas A&M Aggies are to turn their luck on the road in Gainesville, Shemar Stewart and crew will have to step up to their last season levels.
