Alabama Crimson Tide true freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams has made himself the story of the young college football season with his sensational performances so far.

The talented WR registered his first touchdown in college football during the Tide's season opener against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and followed it up with more against the South Florida Bulls and most recently versus the Wisconsin Badgers.

Alabama fans were left in awe of the spectacular catch by Williams during the game.

College football fans simply could not believe his talent and pace.

"Bro is ELECTRIC," one fan tweeted.
"that one was like surgery, how'd they keep the safety out of there,' another fan tweeted.
"Hes Julio jones reincarnated," one fan tweeted.

Ryan Williams repays Kalen DeBoer's faith

Perhaps with time, Ryan Williams will be regarded as the last great recruit of retired Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban who acquired his commitment from Saraland High School, Alabama.

After Saban announced his unexpected retirement in January, Williams entered the transfer portal and it was left to recruitment-minded coach Kalen DeBoer to convince him to stay in Tuscaloosa.

During a Team Focus Fundraiser in May, DeBoer revealed his excitement about working with Ryan Williams and how maturely he dealt with all the changes at Alabama.

"I just can't wait to get him (Ryan Williams) there with our guys," DeBoer said. "I think from him, what's been just so impressive -- it goes back to the weekend, or the week that we met with him, and he came on campus. There was so much thrown at him -- new head coach, new coordinator, new position coach."

Some Alabama players and Kalen DeBoer have compared William's effervescent personality to that of former Tide star and now Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold.

DeBoer invited the five-star wide receiver back to Tuscaloosa for another official visit and used Williams' strong relationship with wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard to convince him to sign his letter of intent in February.

“Right away, we got him (Williams) back for an official visit, after getting to see him during that contact period in January," DeBoer said. "He has been instrumental. He’s got this personality about him that’s contagious and fun to be around. It’s brought other guys in and been something the rest of our team has appreciated as well."

Alabama and college football fans have acknowledged that Ryan Williams is indeed a star and the hype around the young wide receiver seems to grow further with every game that he plays for the Crimson Tide. Best of all, he seems to be repaying Kalen DeBoer's faith in him and making the start of his tenure at Tuscaloosa a smoother one.
