The No. 1-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 6. This game will kick off at 4:15 p.m. ET on Saturday at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Crimson Tide are 4-0 so far this season and are coming off an iconic 41-34 win over the Georgia Bulldogs last week. They were ahead by 28 points before the Bulldogs came back and made it a close game in the fourth quarter. Fortunately for the Tide, wide receiver Ryan Williams scored what was the winning touchdown.
On the other hand, Vanderbilt has a 2-2 record. They had an open week in Week 5 but are on a two-game losing streak after defeating the Virginia Tech Hokies (34-27) and Alcorn State Braves (55-0).
Alabama vs. Vanderbilt prediction
This game should be an easy victory for Alabama. Vanderbilt has historically struggled against them, with the Crimson Tide winning the last 12 games. Vanderbilt's last win was in 1984.
While this year's Commodores roster is somewhat better than their previous teams with Diego Pavia as the quarterback, they'll still likely struggle against the high-power offense of Alabama.
Alabama QB Jalen Milroe is coming off one of the best games of his career and should have another good one against the Commodores. It will also be interesting to see how the defense will perform after conceding 34 points last week.
However, Vanderbilt is not as strong as Georgia, so the defense is expected to bounce back. Expect Alabama to come out on top by a comfortable margin.
Fanduel has Alabama as a 23-point favorite. Additionally, the over/under line is currently at 55 points.
