Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has shared how he deals with the pressure of leading the offense for one of the finest programs in the country. During the SEC Media Day 2 at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, Texas, the signal-caller spoke about how he doesn't get caught up in the hype from the media:

"I think dealing with outside noise is just focusing on the team. I think the more that I focus on the team rather than myself — take it off of me — all that pressure disappears. When I'm focused on my wide receivers, when I'm focused on my o-line, when I'm focused on the rest of the team and how can I make each one of them better, all that pressure is gone and all that outside noise isn't even a thing.
"I'm focused here. Yeah, no, that's the biggest thing for me is not being internally focused but having that focus on the team and about what really matters."

Georgia coach Kirby Smart also heaped praise on Beck while addressing the media. Smart explained how he received positive reports of the quarterback's summer workouts ahead of a critical season.

"I feel really comfortable about Carson because of how much he loves football and how much he likes to watch it," Smart said. "He takes wideouts down and throws with them. He meets with them. That part checks the box."

Carson Beck was one of the top high school quarterbacks in the class of 2020. He committed to Alabama for seven months before de-committing to join Georgia. Beck red-shirted his freshman year with the Bulldogs and served as a backup during the 2021 and '22 seasons when Georgia won back-to-back national championships.

Carson Beck was named the starting quarterback for Georgia ahead of the 2023 season. He led the team to a 12-0 record in the regular season. The signal-caller completed 302 passes for 3,941 yards and threw 24 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He earned a Second-Team All-SEC selection.

Beck kept Georgia as the top-ranked program in the country. However, the team fell out of the playoff race after losing the SEC championship game to Alabama.

Although Georgia couldn't complete a three-peat, the program has a strong chance of winning another national title in the 2024 season, with Beck leading the Bulldogs offense. Furthermore, Beck will want a national title of his own, having previously won two as a backup at Georgia, which will undoubtedly increase his draft stock.
