Every week the AP Top 25 Poll comes out on Sunday afternoon with adjustments to its previous rankings. Several dozen voters submit their ballots and the results are totaled to get the official rankings.
The new poll usually gets released around 1 p.m. ET. However, insiders release their ballots before the official announcement.
Action Network's Brett McMurphy released his ballot on Sunday morning. This week's rankings had some interesting changes.
Three interesting teams on Brett McMurphy's AP Top 25 Poll ballot
Brett McMurphy is known for not making huge changes to his rankings from week to week. However, this time there were a few interesting placements on his ballot.
#1 Oregon
Although it is not surprising to see, Brett McMurphy kept No. 1 ranked Oregon (8-0) on the top. The Oregon Ducks moved up to the No. 1 spot last week after Texas lost to Georgia and fell down the rankings.
This week, the Ducks had another impressive win, defeating No. 20 ranked Illinois 38-9 on Saturday. They will travel to Michigan on Saturday to take on the Wolverines next.
#2 LSU
The LSU Tigers (6-2) were dropped from eight on the official AP Top 25 Poll to 16th on McMurphy's ballot this week.
This happened after the Tigers blew a lead to No. 14-ranked Texas A&M on Saturday and allowed the Aggies to put up 31 points in the second half.
Ultimately, they lost the game 38-23 and significantly hurt their chances of winning the SEC championship.
#3 Colorado
Lastly, McMurphy added the Colorado Buffaloes (6-2) to his AP Top 25 Poll ballot for the first time after their 34-23 win over Cincinnati.
The Buffaloes have steadily improved throughout the season, largely because of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders.
They are now ranked at No. 22 in the ballot. It will be interesting to see if other voters do the same and give the Buffaloes their first official ranking of the season.
