The official results of the week 8 AP Top 25 Poll will be released early on Sunday afternoon. However, some voters share their ballots with the public before the official results come out, giving fans an idea of what the poll is going to look like.
Action Network's Brett McMurphy always does this five or six hours before the release of the official poll. Early on Sunday, he released his ballot for the week 9 AP Top 25 poll, which included some big changes, including a new No. 1 team.

Brett McMurphy is known for his steady approach when it comes to moving teams up and down the rankings. As a result, he will sometimes be slower to move surprise teams higher up the rankings. This week, however, he made some interesting moves considering the results from Saturday night.
#1 Oregon Ducks
One of the most surprising moves was Oregon (7-0) climbing to the number one spot. The Ducks came into the week ranked number second after defeating previously No. 2 ranked Ohio State 32-31 a week ago. On Saturday, they secured a dominant 35-0 victory over Purdue. While it was an impressive win, it came against an unranked team.
So, it is surprising to see Oregon move up off that win. However, the previously No. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns lost this week to No. 5 ranked Georgia. McMurphy moved Georgia up, but only two number two, and as a result, the Ducks claim the number one spot as Texas falls.
#2 Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia (6-1) moved up to second on McMurphy's AP Top 25 Poll ballot from fourth on his ballot last week, and fifth in the official rankings. The Bulldogs achieved a huge 30-15 win over No. 1 ranked Texas on Saturday and the score makes the game look closer than it was.
Georgia gained a 23-point lead in the first half before Texas stormed back with 15 points in the third quarter. However, the Bulldogs got things together in the fourth quarter, scored a touchdown and secured the victory.
#3 Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama (5-2) had a big drop in McMurphy's rankings this week, falling from seventh in the official AP Top 25 Poll to 21st on his ballot. The Crimson Tide lost 24-17 to No. 11 Tennessee, marking their third unimpressive performance in a row.
They narrowly defeated South Carolina 27-25 last Saturday and lost to Vanderbilt 40-35 the week before.
