Deion Sanders Jr. expressed his gratitude to Colorado's athletic director, Rick George, for providing him and the CU football team with a lavish flight experience for their travel to Texas ahead of the Alamo Bowl. Sanders posted a video of the customized Rolls Royce plane on his Instagram story.
"Appreciate you, Mr. Rick," Sanders Jr. was heard saying in the IG story as he captured video footage of the luxury jet.
George has been the athletic director at CU since Aug. 2013. He hired Deion Sanders as the coach for the Colorado football team in Dec. 2022 and the Buffs have transformed into one of the most improved programs since then.
In his first season, Sanders led Colorado to an underwhelming 4-8 record as they failed to qualify for a bowl game. However, this season, Colorado finished with a 9-3 record (7-2 Big 12) and was close to breaking into the College Football Playoff.
Nonetheless, the Buffs had to settle for a bowl game. They will face fellow Big 12 rival BYU in the Alamo Bowl at the Alamodome on Saturday. The Colorado players, staff, and Sanders Jr. will now travel to San Antonio in style in a luxury Rolls Royce plane.
