QB Quinn Ewers's injury remains an interesting topic of discussion ahead of Texas Longhorns' Week 14 showdown against the Texas A&M Aggies. Ewers injured his ankle during their 31-14 victory over Kentucky last week. Fortunately for the Longhorns, the injury was mild and it was reported that the quarterback was 'rehabbing feverishly' for this Week 14 game.

On Thursday, 24/7 Sports' Chip Brown reported that Quinn Ewers' rehabilitation from his mild ankle sprain was not progressing according to expectations. He was also seen wearing a stiff brace during practices on Monday and Tuesday. According to Saturday's SEC availability report, the quarterback is listed as 'probable' for the Longhorns' showdown against the Texas A&M Aggies.

Amidst the concerns surrounding Quinn Ewers's availability for Week 14, fans took to social media to share their thoughts and feelings about the situation. One fan felt that backup QB Arch Manning should play against the Aggies if Ewers is not at his best.

Another fan stated that it would be foolish to play Ewers when his mobility could prove to be a weakness for the team on the field.

This fan felt that the Aggies would take advantage of Quinn Ewers' injury on the field which is why Arch Manning is the better choice.

"If Quinn isn't healthy play Manning. Can't mess around this game. Must win. Before his ankle injury he has been playing timind after his last injury. If he is limited the Aggies will just all out Blitz him all game."

One fan stated that he could not understand why Steve Sarkisian continues to be adamant about playing Ewers over Arch Manning despite injury concerns.

"I don't understand why Sark is being so stubborn with this. Play arch and get Quinn healthy for the playoffs."

This fan had an interesting take on the whole situation.

"This feels like Texas is pre building in an excuse to handicap Quinn's performance and needing to yank him for Arch."

Another fan stated that Steve Sarkisian should avoid protecting Ewers' feelings.

"Sark better not be too p***y to put Manning in bro be tryna protect Ewers feelings."

Quinn Ewers has started most of the games for the Texas Longhorns this season. He has tallied a total of 2,089 yards and 23 touchdowns passing while throwing six interceptions on the field. Last week despite the mild injury, Ewers continued playing against Kentucky and recorded 191 yards and two touchdowns passing to secure the victory.

Will Arch Manning start over Quinn Ewers against the Texas A&M Aggies?

There is a big possibility we could see Arch Manning on the field if Ewers' mobility issues become a problem against Texas A&M. Coming out of Isidore Newman High School, Arch joined the Longhorns as a part of the 2023 recruiting class. He redshirted his freshman campaign as the third-string QB for the team before being named as the backup this season.

Manning has already proved his worth when he was named QB1 during Quinn Ewers' previous injury this season. The Longhorns won all three games that he started in. Arch Manning has tallied a total of 939 yards and nine touchdowns passing for the team.

Playing him is a solid option for Steve Sarkisian as he has an excellent arm and the ability to create offensive plays on the field. It will be interesting to see who emerges as the QB1 for the Longhorns in Week 14.
