The Auburn Tigers under coach Hugh Freeze have not had the best start to the season, dropping to 2-3 after a 27-21 loss to the No. 19 Oklahoma Sooners in Week 5 of college football action. It does not get any easier for the Tigers with a clash against the Georgia Bulldogs next on the calendar in Week 6.

Off the gridiron, the Tigers coach's daughter Ragan Freeze dazzled fans with her brown and white outfit for the game against the Bulldogs. She posted the picture on her Instagram stories with the caption:

Hugh Freeze makes time for family

The college football calendar has become more arduous for football programs in terms of recruitment with the extended contact period spanning from April 15 to May 25 keeping coaches on their toes.

The offseason when coaches used to spend an extended amount of time with their families has been severely cut and no one has rallied against the current state of affairs more than Auburn coach Hugh Freeze.

During an interview with AL.com, Freeze spoke about just how badly the calendar cuts into his family time.

He said:

“You still feel like you have to stay on top of recruiting, even though you wish …It’s just that everything is so expedited now.
“You’re not going to rest any other months. You’re not going to make your wife, kids …You’re not going to make them a priority those other months. I know that sounds terrible and it’s not that you don’t make them feel important, it’s just you don’t have enough hours.”

Despite his busy calendar, the 2024 offseason was different, and Freeze's daughters even managed to convince the outspoken coach to take a week off for a family vacation in the Bahamas.

He spoke of the importance of taking the trip with his family when he could get away from his busy schedule.

“We’re taking a whole family trip at the end of June. Grandbabies, daughters, their husbands and we’re going to the Bahamas. I’ve never done that before,” Freeze said. “I said, ‘Yes, let’s do it.’ Because you’ve gotta make time for it and certainly you better make it intentional or it won’t happen."

Hugh Freeze might be under pressure on the field due to the Auburn Tigers' form, but he is finding time on the busy college football calendar to spend time with his family.
