Auburn vs Kentucky injury report: List of players injured ahead of Week 9 College Football showdown

The Auburn Tigers face the Kentucky Wildcats in Week 9 of the 2024 College Football season. The game will kick off at 7:45 p.m. ET.

It is a must-win for both teams struggling in the Southeastern Conference.

But, some players will not play or are unlikely to play in this game.

Five players are on the injury report for the Auburn Tigers in their game against Kentucky this weekend. The most notable is wide receiver Caleb Burton III who has only recorded two catches for 49 yards this season. The details of how and where the injury affected Burton and how long he will be out (or even if he will be out) are unknown.

Additionally, tight end Brandon Frazier has been ruled out of the game due to his long-term foot injury that required surgery. Buck linebacker Jamonta Waller and defensive backs Tyler Scott and Champ Anthony have also been ruled out of the game against Kentucky.

Scott and Anthony have been on the injury report for some time due to long-term injuries. Waller, a recent addition to this list, was ruled out of the season earlier in the month due to a foot injury.

Kentucky Wildcats injury report

Compared to the report from the Tigers, Kentucky's injury report is substantially longer. There are 16 players on the IR this week in a range of positions. However, these injuries have been described as having a large effect on the running game of the Wildcats.

Demie Sumo-Karngbaye, the leading rusher for Kentucky who recorded 419 yards and scored four touchdowns, is out.

Alongside this, fellow running back Chip Trayanum is ruled out. He has spent most of the season out with a hand injury but did play a bit in the Wildcats' defeat to the Florida Gators last weekend.
