Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders had a great professional career in the NFL before delving into the world of coaching. Coach Prime was married twice, first to Carolyn Chambers and then to Pilar Sanders.
Both marriages ended in divorce. In December 2021, Sanders invited social media star Brittany Renner to his podcast called "21st and Prime." There, he talked about how his financial outlook would have been different if he had the opportunity to talk with Brittany Renner during his collegiate stint at Florida State.
Coach Prime said Renner's elaboration on the game of "life" would have helped him save at least $20 million.
"Let me tell you something, If I had her in my ear. If I had been sitting in that room in Florida State and I had her come and lay it out like she laid it out. If I would have had that I would be at least $20 million richer. Yeah, because of the game. Because everything she elaborated on, I would have been more prepared for the game of life," Sanders said.
"I was prepared for the game of football, but not that other game. Because I was so locked in. And then I misconstrued what love and some women were. If I would have had that, I promise you, at least 20. At least $20 million richer because of the divorces, the lawyer fees, all the bull junk I've gone through as a man."
That same year, in October, Deion Sanders invited Brittany Renner to talk to his Jackson State players. She explored the topic of transactional relationships with the players and gave them relationship advice.
This took place after Coach Prime split with Pilar Sanders in 2013. By that time, he was dating Tracey Edmonds, who was also his fiancee. However, the two of them called off their engagement in December.
Deion Sanders provides update on his kids' rankings
Before Colorado's showdown against Baylor, Deion Sanders made an appearance on the Big Noon Kickoff show. Coach Prime is known for ranking his kids according to their deeds.
On the show, he talked about the updated rankings of his kids. Coach Prime made fun of Shilo since he was always fighting for the last place in the rankings.
"My daughter just showed me a shirt. She flew in from Alabama last night where she's playing basketball. She showed me the shirt and it says Bossy and number one like she got the ranking seeds on the back of her shirt ... I love it and the kids now, Shilo's always fighting for dead last in some form or fashion."
Deion Sanders and the Buffs went on to win their game against the Baylor Bears. They'll face the UCF Knights in week 5.
