Bill Belichick has had a busy December. This has been a month where the legendary NFL coach has returned to the coaching scene, but this time Bill is going back to college as the new coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Belichick is slowly getting the team ready for his tenure. But, in between all this, he gave his fans a Christmas message.

The message features clips of his press conference while he was in charge of the New England Patriots, all put together to form the famous song "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

These types of videos have been around for many years, but this message seems entertaining, especially considering it's coming from an NFL coach who has developed a reputation for not having time for nonsense.

The words are set to a minimal piano piece, which paired with Belichick's voice's almost monotonous and unenthusiastic tone makes this video even funnier.

This will certainly make fans of his, both old and young, smile. But, will Belichick be making Tar Heel fans smile come September when they start their new campaign?

Could Bill Belichick return to the NFL?

Bill Belichick did not return to New England (specifically the city of Boston) last week to see the Tar Heels lose to the UConn Huskies in the Fenway Bowl.

However, something that he has done recently was hire his son Steve as the team's defensive coordinator. Steve Belichick was the defensive coordinator at the Washington Huskies, and it was widely speculated that Bill would bring his son to Chapel Hill when he took the head coach role.

However, analyst Colin Cowherd believes that this move signifies that Bill may have other intentions than to coach the Tar Heels, with an NFL return being one of them. He said on a recent of "On The Herd":

"Why did UNC let Belichick bring his son? Because Bill knows there are two fascinating NFL jobs: Philly and Buffalo."

It has been speculated that when Bill decides to depart North Carolina, Steve will take Bill's place as head coach. Cowherd thinks this may come sooner rather than later.

While the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles are currently having a good season and are both Super Bowl contenders, one poor season in the future or even a disappointing postseason from either of these teams could result in the firing of their current coaches.

If this were to happen, Bill could easily throw his hat in the ring, and considering his track record, this may be an option that these teams can't say no to. Steve would then take his father's place at UNC, fulfilling his goal: to be a head coach of a team.
