Bill Belichick makes his wishes crystal clear to Santa after his $50 million move to UNC

UNC coach Bill Belichick has requested two Christmas wishes from Santa Claus amid the festive season. On Monday, Belichick shared an Instagram post featuring a Christmas card with some interesting details.

Belichick, who signed a five-year, $50 million contract with North Carolina, began his message with "Dear Santa," before mentioning his name and address. The 72-year-old even canceled out the question about his age and selected the option of being “nice” instead of “naughty” this year. Then, Belichick listed his two Christmas wishes.

"1. Great Players Who Want To Help Me Build A Winning Football Program At UNC. (My DMs Are Open) " Belichick wrote as his first wish.

"2. UNC Alumni, Fans & Supporters Who Want To Help Me Build A Winning Football Program At UNC.” Belichick commented for his second wish.

As per his IG post, Belichick is hoping to bring success to UNC next season. He also wants to bring top recruits to the program to help them create something special in North Carolina, along with the UNC alumni, fans and supporters.

Belichick won six Super Bowls during his 24 years with the New England Patriots. He also won two Super Bowls as an assistant coach with the New York Giants.

On Monday's episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Bill Belichick discussed his plans for coaching UNC next year. One segment that interested fans was his desire to have more experienced members on his coaching staff.

“I’ll really start to move this week and next week. A lot of coaches that are potentially available that’ll be on the staff are either still involved in college football bowl games, playoffs, or they’re still involved in the NFL, which we still have another week of the regular season." Belichick said.

“And then some of them are in the playoffs as well, so we’ll see how that plays out. But there will be a strong NFL presence on the staff, but not exclusively. We have some other people, too, that we’re working on."

Belichick also suggested that the NFL should recommend copying the NBA's draft-style lottery to avoid struggling teams from tanking during the season.
