Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck and his sister Kylie Beck were out last weekend to represent Georgia colors in college athletics. The Bulldogs were on the road against Ole Miss on Saturday and suffered a stunning loss in Oxford against Lane Kiffin’s team.
Carson Beck led Georgia’s offense against the resilient Rebels at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. He completed 20-of-31 passes for 186 yards without a touchdown while throwing an interception.
Kylie, on the other hand, was on the sideline with the Bulldogs cheerleading group, offering her effort to lift the spirit. Following the disappointing game in Oxford, Kylie sent love to her brother and mother in her Instagram story on Sunday.
She captioned the post with:
“My whole 🌎❤️. You two are the reason my heart is beating, my world is spinning, and my clock is ticking. Blessed is an understatement."
Kylie Beck’s continued support for Carson Beck
Kylie Beck has continued to show a huge level of support for his brother on the field beyond being a cheerleader.
Carson Beck hasn’t been impressive this season compared to 2023. The quarterback has been underwhelming in the backfield for the Bulldogs. Beck has thrown for 2,488 yards and 17 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.
The quarterback has seen his draft stock fall significantly this season as many continue to pinpoint him as the major problem of the offense. However, Kylie Beck has continued to show her brother unconditional love and support in a trying time for him.
The possibility of Carson Beck getting benched
Following Georgia’s loss to Ole Miss during the weekend, there's a growing call from the media and among fans to have Carson Beck benched in the Bulldogs' next game. However, the team's coach isn't going that way.
“Absolutely not,” Smart said when asked if he had plans to replace Beck. “We’ve got the quarterback we’ve got who is completely competent, capable, and understanding of our system that gives us the best chance to win.”
Beck entered the season projected as a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy and the first quarterback off the draft board in 2025. However, he has not been able to live up to the expectations.
