The college football world has given a bizarre reaction to predictions for the 12-team College Football Playoff. On Wednesday, On3 released its playoff bracket prediction on X (formerly Twitter), which had Boise State and Missouri among the surprise teams in the playoffs.
CFB fans reacted to the post.
"Boise State vs MIZZOU for the natty. Hang it in the Louvre," a fan tweeted.
"I would be shocked if mizzou made it," another fan tweeted.
Other fans, meanwhile, think the predicted matchups would make for some fun games.
"Where is Penn state. Also no on five sec teams," a fan tweeted.
"There's no way the SEC gets 5 teams in. Also Michigan doesn't get in this year. They lost too much and it's a first year head coach," a fan tweeted.
The popular complaint is the Southeastern Conference has five teams. Fans argue that the top four seeds are conference championships while a Group of Five team gets an automatic bid.
"Conference champs automatically fill out the top 4 seeds? That’s so beyond stupid that the big 12 champ and ACC champ would go ahead of the big 10 runner up and sec runner up," a fan tweeted.
"For Michigan to get in they would have to win a game between oregon, Texas or Ohio state I don’t them winning any of those penn state is gonna get in they dodge Michigan and and Oregon," a fan tweeted.
The prediction has Georgia winning the national championship
Not only did On3 do the entire 12-team bracket, but it also predicted how the entire playoff would play out.
In the national championship game, the outlet has Georgia playing Ohio State in the finals, and they have the Bulldogs winning it all.
"A third national title in four years for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs? It just might be in the cards. These two teams played an epic Sugar Bowl in 2022, so how we run it back again?" The article said.
Georgia is the favorite to win the national title. The Bulldogs failed to make the playoffs last season after winning back-to-back national championships.
